It was getting late when Dominic showed up outside a cave. He had apperated to this place because he had been summoned there by the dark lord. For what purpose, he didn't know. And he didn't care either, for he would gladly do just about anything for this holy man. With a smile on his lips, he entered the cave looked around after his eyes were used to the darkness in there. At the very moment it was completely silent and he could see no movements around. He was alone. Though it didn't scare him, for he knew what kind of appearences Daquarius could be doing. He had been amongst followers who had been killed by this very man, but he wasn't afraid. He was hoping for the Dark lord to give him a task that involved death, and feeling overpowered every other feeling inside of him. Besides, all the men that had died by Daquarius' hand had been silly fools and as far as what Dominic could remember, he wasn't one himself.

Deep down into the cave, where the air imprinted the seal of dead with any breathing, Daquarius worked in his new toy... something from his own creation... and he smiled at the piece took the form he wanted... made from fire and dead itself, from rock and earth and wood... from the bone of an unborn child perhaps, who really could tell how many other treats it had although it looked quite simple at first view: A simple necklace, a silver ornament, with pretty forms most people would say... but mortal meanings.

The silver like glowed green as the strange liquid on the crate swallowed it. And a soft green like possesed the whole chamber with a sickning feeling. The spell was on the making and just one thing left, one little push more and for what Daquarius could feel, the final ingredient had just arrived.

"About time" he murmured pleasanty.

Dominic realised a couple of minutes after having arrived, that he would have to go further into the cave. When he did this, it all made sense, as he saw a green light enlighten a part of the cave. He smiled when he saw the dark lord, his typical polite elegant smile and went directly at his direction. "My lord. You required my presence? In what way can I be of asisstance?" He asked emotionless but it was obvious that he was playing servant. Had this man been another one then the other one would have died. But not the Dark Lord. The only man that so far had been able to control Dominics wild behavior was Daquarius.

Dominic said nothing else but merely waited for an answer. He was prepared if things would go wrong but he knew that there were no mourons to shield himself with. They were just the two of them, as far as he knew.

Daquarius did not even turn his head as felt Dominic's presence so near now. Instead he smiled slightly, eyes reflecting on the green potion below.

"I was wondering... Dominic..." he said as stirred the potion calmly "I have been watching you... what makes you better than Nellie... is there anything?" he asked with a drawling voice almost as if asking to himself for any reason... while his gloved hand stirred the potion slowly, playing with it perhaps, testing the texture with please as if caressing his future child to be born.

"She has achieved great things... but lately... mmmm..." he murmured as if talking to the potion, with a tone of disaproval, or that is what it seemed. "Would you, in the end, serve me better... mmm..." he continued as if asking to himself if it ever worthed to trust on someone that would, at the end, fell into the ordinary, into the routine...

Just the fact that the Dark Lord mentioned Nellie in front of Dominic made him bite his teeth hard against each other. He held the emotionless state but was quiet which was a new thing. Dominic used to comment on everything, used to never being beaten to the ground psychologically but since Nellie was Head Executioner, he didn't feel like he had anything to say. However, when Daquarius told him he would sever better, he was unable to stay silent.

"Yes, my lord. You will find me better than her. Her constant grievances must be annoying indeed," He simply said without even at once regretting that he had offensed her highly. That he had been offinsive towards a higher ranked person. For he knew that what he spoke of was only the truth. The complete truth. He had seen of it and heard of it before and sometimes he had wanted to curse her beyond anything else. It was obvious that he hated her.

"Really?" Daquarius looked for the first time at the man with questioning eyes, as if not so sure of how accurate that answer was. Truth to be told, Nellie had so far be of better use that this man, and although her use had dicreased with the time, Dominic had not yet reached her standard at the Dark Lord's eyes... not failed his mission either though.

Dominic had great potential, there was not doubt about it. He had this particular way to handle missions, mostly if they involved dead, with such an impecable style. But his achievements had not yet reached Nellie's, who had already gained her confidence.

"You got talent... I do not deny that." he assured the man but with a tone that clearly showed that was not yet enough for him. And Daquarius turned his head back to the caldrum and stirred the potion again as if waiting... and thinking... Even a dog of the worst nature have some talent...

Dominic did not like the way Daquarius looked at him, but he was pleased that he was not being pointed at by the lords wand. "Really," was his only answer with an assuring smile on his lips. Now that they were this far in the conversation and that Daquarius knew he didn't like Nellie at all, he wasn't so nervous about it anymore. He was far more curious. What might the dark lord have called him for?

"You got talent... I do not deny that." Dominic only felt even more reassured by the next thing Daquarius mentioned and he nodded, still smiling before looking completely serious again. "So I guess you want to put that talent to use, my lord?" He asked as a gesture for him to get to the point. He was far too curious, especially about the potion in the caldrum. He was not sure if he had seen such kind of a mixture before.

"Yes... indeed..." he just said still taking his time on everything he did. There was time... the potion needed more time... and he was not to reveal his game before the potion was ready.

"Your talent... haven't have chance to be used properly..." Daquiarius said as stood up and slowly walked some steps closer to Dominic. Eyes looking at the man with some sort of delight, as if watching something he long craved to find. "Haven't enjoyed a good killing yet, I see..." he continued as if by looking at Dominic he could see deep inside to the bottom of his heart. Unsatisfied skill as its owner haven't been able to completely please it.

"Haven't satisfied your thirst... of blood..." he said but it was not Dominic he was talking to, even when he seemed to be talking to him. No, Dominic was the least important in all this matter.

Daquarius' way of almost taunting Dominic could've worked. If Dominic had an understading of empathy and feelings. But he hadn't, so he merely looked confused as the lord. "My lord, that is correct. But surely my talent hasn't died out," he merely answered as if saying that he was able to wait for the proper kill. The proper massacre.

"Haven't satisfied your thirst... of blood..." Sounded Daquarius' voice as if he was able to mind read. Dominic did not understand, this was a deeper kind of game appearently. "Blood, meat, bones.. Yes, of course I miss it... And the screams.." He didn't exactly know how, but killing was one of the only topics he could talk about with such deep emotions as now. He had a smile on his lips and felt the hunger, the lust for humen to day by his hands. By his doings.

Daquarius slowly looked around the cavern with an empty stare to his eyes. The sounds of the world around them pulled into nothingness except for the empty screech of silence filling his ears and flooding into the whole of the Dark Lord's being. He could feel it in the air, the source of Dominic's madness calling out to be taken, screaming and forcing the tickle of power into his finger tips.

Those eyes turned to focus toward the opening looming before them and down toward Dominic, his servant for never more. The smile forming on the old man's lips was menacing and black, showing decayed teeth and blood.

"That unfulfilled lust is what I crave.." Daquarius began slowly, circling his prey like a vulture in the sky. "The want for blood, for death and decay has proven to be never ending and fierce. It's what drives you and will drive my conquest." He growled. Before he would allow Dominic to question his logic, Daquarius lunged forward and hurled his follower across the cave and into the wall, pinning him there with magic. His eyes sparkled with madness in their inky black depths, it was time.

The edges of Daquarius' dark robes shuffled quietly along the floor like a snake toward it's prey, hissing and slithering across the stone. His hand reached out, nails long and blackened, the knuckles twisted from age and touched the edge of Dominic's cheek.

"You will forever be more useful than the rest." he seethed and slowly began sliding a finger across Dominic's skull. The line was almost invisible at first, followed by a trail of blood swimming down the much younger man's cheek as his skull began seperating into two pieces. Daquarius' goal was just below, hiding beyond bone and blood.

When Daquarius started wandering around, seemingly without purpose or a destination, he sensed something seemed.. Off. He was not sure of what it was but his senses told him that there was something. The smile on the mans lips showed it was even more off than usual. He wasn't sure when he'd seen the dark lord smile last time but hell... It was a really long time ago! And it wasn't reassuring him at all.

Dominic then found out how Daquarius was beginning to circle around him and he could feel, both by his words and his route, that this was starting to get to a point he didn't like. It was at that exact time, when Daquarius told him about his own lust which was an advantage for him too, that Dominic started to understand. His reaction was far too dull and before he knew of it, he was pressed hard against the wall. "I don't like the direction you're going at," he snarled through clenched teeth. Unfortunately he wasn't able to move or do anything else but talk. He now knew that things weren't looking good at all.

However, the dark lords touch against his cheek was a sensation he hadn't experienced before. It didn't feel so bad after all. "You say useful, I don't.." he began, but he lost the rest of the sentence in pain when the dark lord's finger drew a fine line on his skull, practically opening it. Dominic tried to avoid it but since he was unable to move, all he could do was bite his own tongue and after mere seconds he lost consciousness.

The Dark Lord did not mind the attempts of struggles from Dominic, not the yells, not anything the younger man could possibly do. Nothing that he could possibly do would be anyway threatening to even bother to have a backup plan. The man merely continued his task as cold as ever, taking his time...

He hardly noticed the other man loosing consciousness, not that he cared either. His eyes shone in delight at it spotted the little piece he needed, as if it was flashing before his eyes, shining... the last ingredient for his potion.

"You should be proud... not many can say they do something worthy for the cause..." he said as if he could really be heared. And without more words he let the now useless body drop to the ground and continued with what really mattered to him while the man's skin started healing slowly and painfully by itself, although not completely.

That was a side effect of the spell Daquarius had used, heal just enough to prevent the body to die too quickly, it was the only way to retrieve the piece of brain he needed with not damabe to it, otherwise he would not have used such spell and just let Dominic die there.

The Dark Lord waited some more minutes for the potion and gave a glance at the man lying there as a useless marionette.

"Stupid spell that one! Can't make it propperly" he mumbled to himself but either way, wherther Dominic lived or died after that, he could care less. Turning his head back to the potion, and watching the thickness of the liquid indicating it was ready, the older man carefully saved the potion to its final destination leaving the dying man there... he deserved at least that... suffer long enough to know he had been of use...

Dominic woke up with a weird feeling inside his stomach. He was lying in the middle of a corn-field. Nothing hurt on him and he felt as if everything was okay. As if he'd never felt better before. Only couple of metres away, stood a woman. She had brown, beautiful hair and her face was stunning and remarkable, but she still confused him. Her chins covered in tears, she moved towards him while he got up from the ground. She stood right in front of him. "Is this truly what you've accomplished? You can do better. I feel sorry for you," she whispered, her voice sounding harsh and soft at the same time. He became confused all of a sudden and looked at her, his own face expressing only confusion and fear. "I want you to get up. I want you to do what is in your power to get out of that dark cave of yours. And I want you to do it right... Now!" She said before touching his chin.

He woke up, once again on the ground, this time inside a large cave. He could feel that some sort of liquid covered at part of his face and when he opened his eyes, he only felt pain. Stunned and shocked, he gasped and rolled over on his back. He was just about getting used to the pain when anger flushed over his mind. He remembered Daquarius' actions and his 'career' in the AOTS but nearly everything else was over-clouded. He sat up, rubbed his scalp and suddenly screamed out of rage. "I will find you, Daquarius!"

After this, he collapsed but was still awake. His head still hurt badly, but then he remembered his own wand which hadn't been taken away from him. He made a quick remedy spell, trying to heal whatever wound it had been, but it was only for now. He would have to go and get help somewhere, he just knew. Dominic got to his feet, had to lean against the wall once again before leaving the cave.
